Board-certified adult psychiatrist based in Alexandria, Virginia
About me:
Welcome to my page; I’m Dr. Jenny Yung. I am a general adult psychiatrist with many years’ experience working with patients in Northern Virginia, DC and the DC suburbs.
I hold experience and interest in treating a range of mental health problems, including depression, bipolar and anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and some eating disorders. I am also interested in helping people work through issues of self-esteem, alienation, communication difficulties, interpersonal challenges and trauma.
I take a non-judgmental, evidence-based and collaborative approach with the primary goal of improving your overall health and well-being, and with the overarching hope of enriching self-reflection, and forming a meaningful life narrative. My preferred therapeutic approach is psychodynamic, with cognitive-behavioral and psychopharmacological interventions as needed.
